Another great technique is through guided imagery, visualization as many refer to it can shift your focus away from stressors and create a sense of calm and peace. Grounding exercises are helpful as it anchors you back to the present moment, reduces feelings of overwhelm and anxiety. One beneficial method is the 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Exercise.
Let's try it: Take a moment inhale a deep breath through your nose and exhale out through your mouth. Look around and identify five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste. This will undoubtedly harmonize your inner and outer worlds giving you the joy and fulfillment you desire.
It's important to take time and assess areas where you can create change and also harmonize your inner masculine and feminine traits (we all have both regardless of your gender). Doing so will allow you to also utilize the pillars of balance more fluidly in your life so that you can beat burnout and experience balance without the overwhelm, but you must remain committed to putting in the work to sustain you on your journey.
Start by showing up as your best self- optimistic outlook, growth mindset, and positive vibes and lean into holistic practices and rituals like yoga, meditation, dance, mindful eating, or preparing a special tea to anchor you to the present moment and relieve stress.
My own personal journey with being a high achiever, going above and beyond, overdoing, and overcompensating in many areas of life left me depleted and overwhelmed. I realized that many of us high-achieving women by nature, measure our success by how much we get done, when true success is personal happiness and for me, time freedom. What was that defining moment that shifted everything for me? I realized that overdoing would be the antithesis of a happy and healthy mind, body, and spirit.
If you want true soul fulfillment and happiness you have to commit to reshaping the way you look at hard work. The hard work you begin to put in, will be to shift limited beliefs and patterns that keep you reliving the same old cycles. Take it from me, prioritize your own life and the dream life you want to experience, release the need to control, and lean into the uncertainties of life. That’s where miracles and magick flow.
